A virtual world, also called 3D Metaverse, is a computer-based simulated environment intended for its users to inhabit and interact via avatars. Avatars are usually depicted as textual, two-dimensional, or three-dimensional graphical representations, although other forms are possible(auditory and touch sensations for example). Some, but not all, virtual worlds allow for multiple users.
Moshi Monster is a virtual world where kids can adopt their own monsters and help them 'develop' by solving puzzle games to earn Rox (the virtual worlds currency). Rox can then be used to purchase items in a virtual shop to help keep their monsters healthy and happy. Users can also make friends through a wide variety of social networking features such as blogs, rss feeds, and buddy lists.
